Throughout the curves of Niemeyer
Discover four works by Oscar Niemeyer at the Circuito Liberdade during an afternoon walk.

The magnificent Edifício Niemeyer, a residential building designed in 1954 and built in 1960 at Praça da Liberdade, features sinuous curves inspired by the mountains of Minas Gerais state.
A few meters away is the Biblioteca Pública Estadual, a 69-year-old public library located at Praça da Liberdade, 21. It is the most important library of Belo Horizonte and a reference for all libraries in the state.
The Edificio Bemge is located a bit further downtown, at Rua Rio de Janeiro, 471, in the former headquarters of Banco Mineiro de Produção, now home to P7 Criativo, the country’s largest creative economy hub. If you want to book any visits, call (31) 99690-5648 or send an e-mail to contato@p7criativo.com.br.
Once downtown, it’s easier to walk to Praça Raul Soares, where you will find the Conjunto JK, located at Rua dos Timbiras, 2500 – Santo Agostinho. Inaugurated in 1951, this design reflects the ideals of collective housing, which aimed to integrate government offices and residences, along with stores, services and leisure activities.
