From October 20th to 26th, Belo Horizonte will be transformed into Fashion Capital due to the 32nd edition of Minas Trend

From October 20th to 26th, Belo Horizonte will be transformed into Fashion Capital due to the 32nd edition of Minas Trend. The Circuito Liberdade participates in the event with a special agenda, providing a variety of activities in its cultural spaces, with no admission fee. There will be exhibitions, lectures, debates, showcases and other events that can highlight the relevance of the fashion industry in its many aspects, and take the Semana de Moda Mineira to the next level.

The fashion industry is an economically significant sector in Minas Gerais, since it is the second largest job creator and income generator. It is also an important segment for the development of the region’s creative economy and for its identity building process. Using looms and handmaking pieces, among other textile methods, are part of Minas Gerais history and tradition. The state was recognized worldwide for its high-quality, and yet commercially valuable, creative DNA.

Additionally, there are renowned schools aiming at training professionals for the fashion industry in the city, including the Escola de Design of UEMG, which is part of Circuito Liberdade.

Integrated Actions

The integrated agenda gathers all member institutions of Circuito Liberdade for a joint action. Together, they hold a wide, diverse range of cultural activities focused on the same theme, thus providing people with more opportunities to access knowledge and appreciate the city’s cultural offerings.
